Your photos stay yours
Effective 26 October 2026. This policy covers the Hairmaxxy iPhone app (bundle ID com.hairmatch.ios) and this website.
The short version
- Your face shape is worked out on your phone. It is never sent anywhere.
- Your photo leaves your phone only if you ask for a hairstyle preview of your own photo, and only after you agree on a screen that says who receives it and what is kept.
- We never use your photo to train models, never sell it, and never show it to anyone else.
- No account, no name, no email, no location, no advertising, no tracking across other apps.
- Delete all my photos (on the home screen, every result and in Settings) erases your selfie, previews and saved looks from your phone at once.
- Delete my account (Settings, at the bottom) erases your photos, looks, views, quiz answers, birthday and cut log from your phone and from our servers. It does not cancel a plan you pay for: Apple bills it, so cancel it in your Apple subscriptions. Extra looks you bought, and the count of looks used this week or month, are kept so they are not lost or reset.
What happens to your photo
On your phone. Your selfie and previews are stored only inside the app, with iOS file protection, and only after you agree. Sample photos and the face shape reading never leave the phone.
When you ask for a preview. The photo is resized and sent over HTTPS to our server, which passes it straight to our AI partner and returns the preview to you. Our server never stores your photo; the new look is backed up as described below.
Our AI partner. Previews are made by a trusted AI partner that receives your photo only to make your preview. Your uploaded photo is deleted from our partner's servers within 24 hours.
Backup of your looks. The new looks we make for you (never your selfie) are backed up on our own servers for 90 days, so we can help if one goes missing, then deleted automatically. "Delete my photos" in the app removes them, and your profile, from your phone and from our servers right away. In the Photo vault you can also delete one photo, or one look; for looks made from November 2026 on, its server copy goes too (older copies go with Delete my photos, or after 90 days).
Delete My Photos removes everything stored on your phone. It cannot reach copies the provider keeps for the periods above.

We do not sell or share personal data for advertising, and we do not use it for tracking as Apple defines it.
Children
Hairmaxxy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your choices and rights
You can use the sample photos without sending any photo. You can delete your photos at any time with Delete My Photos, or by deleting the app. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may ask what we hold about your install ID and ask us to delete it. Use the support form or email support@hairmaxxy.app, and include the install ID shown in the app if you can.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects your photos, the app will ask for your agreement again before sending any photo.
